  Rooms called as above are always the worst in the building. I was given corner rooms both in and out of BKK. The a/c in these rooms blasted air like a 747 taking off. When I insisted on a change, on both occasions I was given the room farthest away from the elevator. I did NOTHING to be dealt with this way. The attitude was supercilious, arrogant and condescending. The only possible reason to stay here proximity to the airport!
  
  P.S. The pickup and delivery service was very well done.

• A pleasant surprise

  Before departing on a 30-hour trip from bangkok, this hotel was a very pleasant surprise. beautiful lobby and fine rooms. good choice of restaurants. excellent customer service.

  Enormous monstrosity of a hotel, matches the new airport. Public area is exactly like a airport hanger, makes you want to flee to the long distance to the abundant comfort of your room. Splash pool is just that - good for a splash, not a swim. Needs better signage and maps to find such things as hidden oriental garden - a great place to write or read. Needs more cozyness and less grandiosity. Don't order pizza, even if you are by the pool.

  The location is great next to the airport. It is quiet and serene. Great architecture and design. It is new, and the rooms, grounds, and pool as well as gym are beautiful and well appointed. The food is average and pricey for what you get. Service is great except for check out, which is slow and cumbersome, on all 4 of my stays from Oct-Nov.
