The Radisson Nice is perfect for a business person who is looking for an ""international caliber"" hotel to come back to at the end of a hectic day. Once back at the hotel, you could be anywhere ... nothing French about it. It offered a good work desk in the room with free high-speed internet service, helpful staff, a great lobby bar and many other amenities. However, on the down side: the food delivered through Room Service was a repeated disappointment and the hotel's location was far from everything (too far west along the Promenade to be within walking distance of anything). Count on taking cabs everywhere.

This was not a bad hotel but it's hard to stay at a hotel with kids that charges you for everything. The website says they have a private beach for hotel guests but it's not the exact truth. On the beach is a restaurant where anyone can get a spot-you just have to pay. Hotel guests too with no discount. Really the only benefit for hotel guests is that they get to put the astronomical charges on their room bill. 15 euros for a chair and towel. The pool at the hotel is the same way. Also something they neglected to put on their website. The real stinger was that they don't let you put a roll away in the room. My kids loved the beach but word to the wise: it's a rock beach. No sand. Just little rocks and pebbles everywhere. So if you don't rent or have a chair (whose going to haul one of those around europe) your butt hurts from sitting on the beach all day. Honestly, I would just stay in Cannes. Not that far away, nicer hotels and sandy beaches.

This Radisson was well worth the money and worthy of the 2 star rating. The location on the Promenade makes beach access easy; the views from the 7th floor Pool/Bar/Restaurant levels incredible; and great for running/walking/cycling along the Promendade. Staff very friendly; most speak English and rooms very clean. The beach is rocky so need a chair or mat. The Mediterranean water is clean and great to swim in as is the water on 7th floor pool. I highly recommend this hotel.
