While the staff who greeted me were wonderful, calling me by name and offering useful assistance, when a problem arose, the entire staff turned quite ugly. A party in the room below me continued until 3 a.m., waking me every 20-30 minutes from 10 p.m. on. Although I reported this to the front desk, they seemed unable to contain the party. (Perhaps the partyers were related to them?) I had a very important meeting starting at 7 a.m. that day, so finally, at 3 a.m., they moved me to a different room, promising that in the morning they would comp the room cost for me. However, in the morning, I was treated with incredibly rudeness and told that since I booked through website I would receive no compensation for a problem CAUSED by this hotel's ineptness. It would have been easy to overlook the aging of this hotel had their personnel been more consistently amiable. At lunchtime, we ate in their dining room, but it took 1.25 HOURS to be served. And don't count on this hotel for a quiet getaway. Loud music is playing in every hallway all the time.

Flew from Pittsburgh to El Paso then drove to Las Cruces, New Mexico, for nephew's wedding. Drove back to El Paso, returned rental car at airport, and stayed 1 night at Wyndham Airport prior to our 9 a.m. return flight to Pittsburgh. Wyndham is very convenient to the El Paso Airport. No need for shuttle or cab as there is a walkway to and from airport. Hotel lobby (with bar) was clean and bright. Room was ready upon check-in - no waiting for our room. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated with good lighting. Nice desk area. Very clean bathroom. Corridors clean and free of clutter. Printed our boarding passes at business center - computers and multiple printers available. Did not use pool or water slides, but it looked very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Dinner at Magnim's was excellent - waitress very pleasant. Gift shop on premises too small and very cluttered - didn't purchase anything there. Walked back to airport to purchase souveniers. No shopping nearby except for airport. Applebee's and other restaurants down the road - would recommend walking only in daylight. Free shuttle available (tip suggested). Check out the huge bronze equestrian statue/memorial (parking available) located front/left of hotel. Awesome!

Had a ""tower suite"" room which was neither. Couldn't get receptionist to help me choose a room -wanted something ""very quiet"". Given one right next to lobby and parking lot. Was moved upon request though. Not a bad room, but considering it was one of the MOST EXPENSIVE rooms in entire city I expected a lot more. Like a TV that worked well. And at least one pillow that wasn't the consistency of a rosin bag. And a shower with ample water pressure that didn't fluctuate repeatedly between 70-170 degrees. Staff did discount my bill for the shower though.
